We first looked at the bean and I was curious to find out who designed it. Went and around and had a pleasant surprise when we found out that it was an Indian.
Yeah there is so much talent out there and it is amazing to see the creations.
Nargis,
I hope you get a chance to visit your son and see it for yourself. We were visiting our son and daughter in law in Chicago.
The beauty of the bean is in its simplicity. It is polished stainless steel that is almost like a mirror.
Indu,
Thanks. Even though the winter is still not over, we lucked out. In the middle of March there was this one day with nice weather and we took the walk in the park.

Thanks. I will read the article.
How do we find out? Frankly, I don't know. But here are some thoughts.
Consciously try to links smells with images. One experiment I read about is to drive or walk around a certain area and smell something (like jasmine or rose) and after several weeks, see whether smelling the flower brings back images of that place.
Other types of cross linking may include listening to music while looking at pictures and see whether doing one of those brings up associative memories of others.
I can always recall several instances of how I heard certain songs (besides the scenes in the movie).

I love the title of your blog. We do need big thinking - a lot.
Awareness is the first step. You did a great job of that. I thought companies like InfoSys were trying to do something similar in Bangalore. Any idea what the results were?
